This is a prototype for a minigame based RPG I hope to make one day, originallly created in 2020. Currently its a 10-20 minute demo of a single dungeon, featuring 3 enemy varieties and 3 attacks that the player can use.

There isn't a great tutorial, so I'll explain the attacks here (note damage increases when you collect star orbs to level up):

Spear: Does 0-2 damage based on how well the minigame is played. To use the attack, move your mouse to the bottom of the rectangle area that appears, then flick the mouse up in a perfectly straight line while releasing near the top. A perfectly straight, fast flick gives a crit (2 damage) while veering to either side or releasing early/late can cause a miss.

Healing Gale: Consumes mana to heal mid-fight. Press W, D, S, A, in cycle at a rapid speed (basically clockwise motion on WASD). Beware you don't desync from the prompt, mistype, or be slow, as doing so may reduce the amount of healing.

Storm Spell: Consumes mana to deal 0-2 damage to ALL enemies. A donut will appear that is bright around the center circle and darker around the outer/inner edge. Try to rotate your mouse about the bright circle at a fast speed to build up magic power before the time runs out to unleash stronger magic.


I made this game along with Cade Kuehn in a junior college class over 5 weeks, with me doing most of the art/music/design and Cade doing a great amount of programming. A few things (like the storm spell) are recent additions that came after the class deadline. Credits to MuseNet (may it rest in peace) for helping us make the soundtrack.
